The Latest UK Hot Deals
Delicious at Any Price
I'm already a fan of Holbeck Ghyll, a wonderful country house hotel on Lake Windemere in the Lake District. So I was not at all surprised that its Michelin-starred restaurant has received the UK's Wine List of the Year 2009 Award from the respected Good Food Guide. The hotel offers 280 wines, including French regional wines and New World wines. To celebrate the honor, the hotel has laid on a special deal until the end of October. Stay Sunday nights in a lake view room (gorgeous!), have a spectacular dinner in the hotel's restaurant, accompanied by half a bottle of champagne and finished off with excellent cheeses and port, plus a scrumptious breakfast Monday morning. The total cost is £350 - that's £120 off the normal price. Book this deal through the Pride of Britain Hotels Website or by telephoning 0800-089 3929.
